The Child Center of Pennsylvania is excited to present Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the winner of the 2023 community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented yearly to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to bettering the lives of kids in our group.
Brian Houchins , a devoted elementary school instructor and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's schooling and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins' initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and main a successful community-driven campaign to improve native playgrounds, making certain protected and inclusive play spaces for all kids.
